When the new Inns of Court was built and opened in 1987 that group merged with two others to form the current chambers which then took up residence on level 13 of the Inns of Court where it remains to this day.
A number of past members of Halsbury Chambers have accepted appointments to the District and Magistrates Courts of Queensland and to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.

Various members are experienced in particular fields, including administrative review, building and construction, contract, criminal, insurance, planning and environment, professional negligence, property, torts, trade practices and competition and wills and estates.
